Both the Mixed V and JV teams endured heavy rain and sloppy conditions for this week’s games. Varsity played neck-and-neck with undefeated Ingraham, losing 10-12 at time cap in a hard fought game with lots of outstanding play. The JV squad likewise looked very strong, mounting a comeback against Garfield’s JV team before running out
The Varsity Mixed team played a tight game against Garfield yesterday, in the end losing 9-11. JV Mixed got their first taste (and on-the-fly lessons) of zone in a 4-12 loss against Roosevelt’s JV squad. Great showing all around, despite the 2 L’s!
The Winter Mixed JV team had a tough 2-15 loss to the Bishop Blanchet Bears on Saturday. Our JV squad was outmatched by BB’s first team in 3 years (who should arguably be in the V division) 😉 Meanwhile, the Winter Mixed V team had a double-header at Garfield HS. They played a tight game

The last BIU games of 2022 (as part of the Winter Mixed season) are coming on Sat Dec 10th. The JV team will play Bishop Blanchet. Varsity will have a double-header, with games against Lincoln and Westside.
Both our JV and Varsity teams played their first game of the Winter Mixed season in Seattle on Sunday Dec 4th. Varsity came away with a 13-6 win against the UPrep Pumas, in slippery and frozen conditions. Meanwhile, the JV team lost (5-9) their showdown against the Sierra Summit Spartans. Our Bainfield Purple Rams will compete for 3rd place in the league championships, as they face the Lincoln HS Gx team this Sunday (11/5) at 9AM at Genesee playfield. It’s been an amazing season for the Bainbridge-Garfield-Ingraham hybrid team, and we are so proud of you all! Let’s go Bainfield!!

Our BIU Fall Gx free agent team (the Bainfield Purple Rams) lost 4-9 to Roosevelt Gx this weekend in a league semifinal matchup. Roosevelt will move on to the finals, while our Gx team will play one last game next weekend for 3rd place.
